Storage vendor EMC has inked an agreement with value added distributor Al-Jammaz in a bid to ramp up its business in Saudi Arabia.
The vendor believes that the distributor will help it to address increasing customer demand for networked storage and information management software in Saudi Arabia.
“Al-Jammaz has been providing technology-driven business solutions to Saudi businesses for over eight years now and in that time has succeeded in reaching almost 80% of the Saudi Arabian territory,” said Asim Al Jammaz, VP at Al-Jammaz Distribution.
It is this market depth, coupled with its expertise in data and voice communications products, which made Al-Jammaz a logical distribution candidate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to EMC.
“Customer demand in the Kingdom for networked storage and information management solutions is growing,” explained Mohammed Amin, regional manager at EMC Middle East and North West Africa. “Al-Jammaz’s local experience and familiarity with customer requirements will enable them to meet expectations of quality and timely service.”
AlJammaz will provide an opportunity for system integrators in the Kingdom to offer EMC’s industry networked storage systems, information management software to deliver unified storage, backup, recovery and archive solutions, and content management software. As an EMC Velocity² Authorised Services Network (ASN) partner, the distributor will also offer corresponding support services.
