CommScope Fibre and copper connectivity for data centres, buildings and broadband.

CommScope is a global network infrastructure provider founded in 1976 and now operating as CommScope, an Amphenol company, after Amphenol completed its USD 10.5 billion acquisition of the Connectivity and Cable Solutions business in January 2026. The business brings around 20,000 employees, more than 3,500 patents and applications, and expected 2026 sales of about USD 4.1 billion, organised around data centre, building and campus, and broadband connectivity. The former parent continues separately as Vistance Networks, having sold its RUCKUS Networks business to Belden in July 2026.

WHO THEY ARE

About CommScope.

Its brands include SYSTIMAX for enterprise and campus cabling, Propel and Rapid Fiber Connect for data centre fibre, NETCONNECT and Uniprise for commercial buildings, and Prodigy, FiberGuide and FOSC for broadband networks. SYSTIMAX has been deployed in Saudi Arabia for decades, and CommScope engages directly with the Kingdom's hyperscale and enterprise data centre community, including at Data Center Nation Riyadh in January 2026.

LATEST SOLUTIONS

The portfolio, today.

01

SYSTIMAX structured cabling

Copper and fibre cabling systems for enterprise buildings and campuses, with the SYSTIMAX Constellation platform delivering power and data over hybrid fibre trunks to edge devices such as wireless access points, cameras and sensors.

02

Propel data centre fibre platform

A modular, high-density fibre platform of panels, modules and pre-terminated trunks that lets data centres move between speeds and architectures without re-cabling; the floor-mounted Propel XFrame adds dense cross-connect capacity for high-performance computing.

03

Rapid Fiber Connect for AI data centres

A rack-scale, plug-and-play system of GPU panels, switch panels and Mass Insert trunk cables, pre-configured and pre-labelled off site so ultra-dense AI clusters such as 72-GPU racks can be rolled in and connected faster.

04

NETCONNECT and Uniprise building connectivity

Commercial-building copper and fibre solutions for offices, healthcare, education and hospitality that balance performance, reach and cost for enterprise LANs, converged building networks and everyday tenant connectivity.

05

Broadband network connectivity

Prodigy hardened connectors, FiberGuide cable management and FOSC fibre splice closures for fibre-to-the-home and outside plant, supporting service providers as they build and expand high-speed access networks.

AI FOCUS

Fibre infrastructure engineered for ultra-dense AI data centres

CommScope positions its data centre portfolio around the physical demands of AI: far higher fibre counts per rack, multi-plane scale-out fabrics and pressure to shorten deployment time. Its message, 'Empower Your AI Data Center to Evolve and Scale', is backed by platforms that move cabling integration, testing and labelling off the data centre floor so GPU and switch racks arrive ready to connect.

Rapid Fiber Connect, launched at NVIDIA GTC in March 2026, uses 96-fibre Mass Insert trunk connectors to cut rack-to-rack connection steps and supports shuffle-based fabrics for GPU clusters. FastSelfClean connector technology, previewed in May 2026 for release in 2027, seats 144 fibres per connector with self-cleaning end-faces, allowing 3,456 fibres to be served in one rack unit with 24 connections.

  • Rapid Fiber Connect: GPU and switch panels up to 1,728 fibres each
  • Mass Insert 96-fibre trunk connectors for faster rack-to-rack connectivity
  • FastSelfClean 144-fibre connectors, up to 98.5 percent faster installation
  • Propel modular fibre platform for high-performance computing cross-connects

WHAT'S NEW

Recent announcements.

  1. FastSelfClean high-density fibre connector technology previewed

CommScope announced FastSelfClean, a V-groove connector design with 144 fibres per connector and self-cleaning end-faces, shown at Computex 2026 in Taipei with commercial release planned for 2027 for AI scale-up and scale-out networks.

  2. Rapid Fiber Connect launched at NVIDIA GTC 2026

The globally available platform combines GPU panels, switch panels and Mass Insert trunks so AI data centres can pre-integrate racks off site and deploy dense fibre connectivity with fewer connections and less floor disruption.

  3. Amphenol completes acquisition of CommScope CCS business

Amphenol closed the USD 10.5 billion purchase of the Connectivity and Cable Solutions business, which now operates as CommScope, an Amphenol company, within Amphenol's Communications Solutions segment with around 20,000 employees.

  4. SYSTIMAX Constellation platform released globally

The evolved edge-based power and data platform, combining Propel fibre panels, power transmitters and hybrid power/data fibre trunks with Category 6A patch cords, became available worldwide for hyperconnected enterprise buildings.
